What have we been up to?

2021-2022

  • Donated new backpacks full of age appropriate school and personal supplies to the local homeless shelters in for the 2021/22 school year.

  • Donated over 500 books to the Boys and Girls Club, Napa.

  • Donated over 500 art supply packages to Napa Valley elementary kids.

  • Provided several free virtual, art lessons for kids to use with donated art supplies.

  • Facilitated the Creating in Place community art project for Napa Valley kids to create and published piece of art.

  • Published all submitted Creating in Place visual and written artwork from K-12 Napa Valley kids in a hardcover book.

  • Donated over 500 hardcover Creating in Place, Napa Valley Youth Art Collective books. (Every child submitted a work of art, regardless of ability to pay, received Creating in Place book.)

  • Participating in Napa Lighted Art Festival (a celebration of creative arts, technology and lights, and supports innovative techniques using light and light technologies as a growing art medium.) as part of their special events display.

  • The Creating in Place artwork to be experienced by the community during the special event display at Napa County Building 1127 First St. during Napa Lighted Art Festival from January 15th - March 13th.

2019-2020

  • Children's Museum of Napa Valley is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

  • Completed Phase I of fundraising in Spring 2019 to secure funding for a feasibility study, which concluded August 2019 with favorable results.

  • Our Board of Directors is entering their second year of work, and members are actively participating in program development and location acquisition.

  • Current member of the Association of Children's Museums.

  • Collaborating and participating in mentorships with other successful California-based children's museums.

  • Built a strong network of local business, organization, and leadership support.
